The New Civility: Left Threatens Fox News Reporter Days Before Assault By Union Demonstrator

On the heels of Democrat calls to “Hit the streets” and “Get a little bloody,” the Left’s hatred, masquerading as virtues, has turned to violence. Union thugs rallying with the financial and internal support of President Obama’s campaign arm Organizing for America descended upon Wisconsin to mobilize for collective action and maintain the Left’s grip on taxpayer funded political contributions. Their mantra has become “When you take your hands off our benefits, then we will take our hands from your throat.”

Amid chants of “Fox News lies” and extended arms blocking his camera, Fox News reporter Mike Tobin was hit twice by union protestors while reporting live on the rally in the Wisconsin capital. FNC cut away from Tobin to a scene of the capital rotunda, but Tobin confirmed the assault on twitter shortly thereafter. The Left’s vitriolic hatred is on display for all the world to see.

Mike Tobin’s report last week on the protester’s heckling him in Wisconsin elicited hateful, violent comments on the Huffington Post, precursors to today’s events. At what point will the police arrest the union thugs? And when will the Left demonstrate the new tone of “civility?”

But Tobin is only the most recent in a tumult of violent reactions beginning to take shape across the nation. A FreedomWorks activist was assaulted by union thugs, Former Massachusetts Congressional Candidate Marty Lamb was knocked to the ground by union thugs, a union member attacked and injured a Tea Party activist at a MoveOn.org-organized rally, while families of congressional members in Wisconsin are being threatened and harrassed.

The new “civility” called for by a President famous for stating, “If they bring a knife, we bring a gun,” and “Get in their faces” is taking on a vitriolic and violent reactionary nature. Answering to the call of Frances Fox Piven, who rang in the New Year by calling for violent revolution, protesters organized by MoveOn.org, Van Jones, SEIU, AFSCME and other radical groups are becoming her “unruly mobs.”

“So where are the angry crowds, the demonstrations, sit-ins and unruly mobs? After all, the injustice is apparent. Working people are losing their homes and their pensions while robber-baron CEOs report renewed profits and windfall bonuses. Shouldn’t the unemployed be on the march? Why aren’t they demanding enhanced safety net protections and big initiatives to generate jobs?”

The left always resorts to violence when they fail to get their way. The tax-paying voters have spoken and the union thugs and Democrats don’t like relinquishing the power gained through taxpayer-forced funding of political campaigns. Too bad. Elections have consequences.
